1.Profile and Introduction
Dengshahe Town is located in the east of Jinzhou District in Dalian City (East Longtitude 122°03′ and North Latitude 39°13′), close to the Yellow Sea and adjoining to Dalian Development Zone. The town consists of 16 neighborhood committees and has a total population of 38,200 including an off-farm population of 15,600. It possesses 101.4sq.km of land, 7.3km of coastline, 2 district-level roads and respectively one railway station and bus station. It has established complete district-level service network covering banks, power supply, telecom, post, tax and administration of industry and commerce, etc. Besides, it has 1 senior, 1 junior and 5 primary schools, 11 nursery schools, 1 district-level hospital and 1 home for the aged. It's always been well known as the Important Town in South Liaoning Area and Bright Pearl in Yellow Sea, and it has been listed as one of the central towns in Liaoning province, the demonstration towns on agricultural modernization and ecological demonstration town in Dalian city, with powerful economic force and the highest comprehensive economic indexes among towns and villages in Jinzhou district. Today, the town has established the industrial structure that takes construction, garment, metallurgy & foundry, fine chemical, high-efficiency agriculture and tour & holiday as the supporting industries, and some rising sun industries such as marine development, hi-tech agriculture and IT industry are developing at a high speed, with bright prosperity and limitedless business opportunities.
Dengshahe town is divided into six areas, including the 4.34sq.km of central area, 50.55sq.km of harbor industrial park, 18sq.km of agricultural technology park, 20.1sq.km of organic food production base, 10.08sq.km of special fruits production base and the 12.98sq.km of tour & holiday area.
The harbor industrial park is oriented as the production base of fine steels, the supporting base of automobile accessories and the port logistics base, developed in total three phases. The first phase is to build the production base of fine steels and the supporting base of automobile accessories, covering an area of 9.12sq.km with a total investment of RMB2,330 million yuan on infrastructure. The second phase is to build the port and logistics park covering an area of 10.08sq.km. The third phase is to build the harbor industries and service area for life, with a planned area of 31.35sq.km. The construction of the harbor industrial park started formally in Feb 2005, and it's expected that the 7sq.km land's consolidation work can be finished in this year and the 9.12sq.km land's consolidation work can be finished by the end of July 2006. Now, the moving and reconstruction project of Dongbei Special Steel Group Dalian Base has moved into the harbor industrial park covering an area of 3sq.km with a total investment of RMB6,500 million yuan, and it can accomplish a sales income of RMB7,900 million and tax payment of RMB2,000 million after put into production. In addition, Korean ZAIZHONG Automobile and Japanese SUZUKI are going to move into the industrial park as well.
Dalian Jinzhou National Agricultural Technology Park is a state-level park approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, with a total area of 18sq.km and an investment of RMB2,200 million in the first phase, composed of agricultural products processing & logistics area, high-efficiency planting area, livestock breeding area, research & development service area and agriculture tour area. The park has implemented more than 60 infrastructure items and invested totally RMB73 million since 2002. Today, more than 30 items have moved into the park such as the flowers, vegetables, fruits, livestock, forestry and agricultural product processing, etc, RMB250 million of investment finished already. The development of the park is oriented to construct the Cornucopia of agricultural technology and the gathering place of leading enterprises specializing in agricultural products processing; stick to the principle of Government Leading, Enterprise Operating, Technology Supporting, Farmer Enriching, introduce new agricultural species, technologies and facilities, establish the industrialized management system of agricultural research, demonstration, popularization and agricultural product processing, storage, logistics and trade, lead the surrounding areas to strengthen local special industries and turn into the leading and demonstration of realizing agricultural modernization in Dalian city.

2.Bay Economy Area
Dengshahe Town covers a huge area, with a beach area of 16,000mu,a seawater farming area of 70,000mu and a coast line of 7.3km, 9.6 sea miles away from Guanglu Island of Changhai Town, which supplies abroad space for the vertical and expansion development of the town in the future.
The holiday resort inside the economic zone covers an area of 12.98sq.km. Harbin Institute of Technology Holiday Village is just located in the resort, which attracts lots of tourists here every year depending on green water, soft beach, beautiful island, natural bathing place and complete entertainment services such as the hotel, villa, leisure square, amusement center and marine whiffing, etc. Thanks to the advantaged natural condition and driving development tendency, it will become a new place for seaside tour and holiday in Dalian city.
Jinchang Bay Economic Zone is located at Fanjia Village and Duanjia Village coastline in Dengshahe Town, with a land area of 1,000mu and sea area of 8,000mu. As an important base for Dengshahe Town to develop sea economy and holiday resort, it has made great contribution to the economic development of Dengshahe Town.
Jinchang Bay Economic Zone, close to the Yellow sea, is abundant in all kinds of fish, prawns, echini, abalones and sea cucumbers, compared favorably with the same kind of marine products in Changhai Town, especially the short-necked clam, oyster and sea intestines, which are highly regarded as the superb in the local area. There are many large-sized marine products cultivating and processing enterprises in the economic zone, such as Kondo Corp., Yuanxun Breeding Pond, Jinchang Coast Industry & Trade Corp. and Zhaofeng Marine Product Cultivation Co.,Ltd., with an annual total output value of nearly RMB200 million.
