Brief Introduction
Established in 1992, Lushun Economic Development Zone is a Provincial Economic Development Liaoning Province, located in the central region of the Northeast Asia, one of three major world investment and trade rims. With the revitalization of the Northeast Region in China, Lushun Economic Development Zone is developing into a new-type ecological industrial zone with　processing and manufacturing industries as leading, port shipping and logistic industries as support and tourism and education industries as two wings.

Location
Lushun Economic Development Zone is located on the south tip of Liaodong Peninsula (Dalian City) in China, eastward close to Yellow Sea, westward boring on Bohai Sea, northward backing on the vast hinterland in Northeast China and southward facing Shandong Peninsula, Korean Peninsula and Japanese Archipelago across the sea.

Area
Lushun Economic Development Zone covers an area of 23.96km2 under its jurisdiction, with the planning area of 14.17km2.

Climate and Environment
Lushun Economic Development Zone is close to Lushunkou National Scenery Resort in the east, to Laotieshan National Natural Reserve in the south and to 203 National Forest Park in the north. The climate here belongs to continental monsoon climate with marine characteristics in warm temperate zone, with the average annual temperature of 10.25°(50.45° F) and the average annual precipitation of 617mm.

Port
Located in the Yangtou Bay of Lushun Economic Development Zone, Lushun New Port is an open port engaging in general bulk cargos and roll-off transport as well as a distributing center of passengers and cargos on the rim of Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea. The Port currently boasts 9 berths of freight, passenger and cargo ro-ro, oil transfusion, salvage and etc, with the annual throughout of 6 million tons.
Dalian Port, 60km far from Lushun Economic Development Zone, is one of largest foreign trade ports in China and has conducted trade contacts with over 160 countries and regions in the world, with the annual throughout of 1260 million tons.
Dalian Container Terminal, 90km far from Lushun Economic Development Zone, is one of largest international container hubs in China, with the annual throughout of 1.67 million TEU

Railway
"Yanda Train Ferry" located in Lushun Economic Development Zone links with China railway network, Harbin-Dalian railway as artery, via branch lines of Lvda railway in the north, while with coastal railway in the eastern China, which will be completed soon and across Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other provinces, via Yantai of Shandong in the south, consequently will become an important transportation hub connecting the Northeast Region and the eastern economically developed regions.

Water Supply

The water supply pipeline network of Lushun Economic Development Zone is joined with the main water supply pipeline of Dalian City. In addition to two regional reservoirs with the storage capacity of 2.40 million m3, the daily water supply capacity will reach 40 thousand tons.

Drainage
The drainage pipeline network of Lushun Economic Development Zone is totally 10.8km long, connecting with Lushun Central Sewage Treatment Plant. There are 12km discharge trenches, which enable the realization of respective sewage and rain discharge.

Power Supply
Lushun Economic Development Zone boasts one 66KVA transformer station and the double-loop power supply system.

Heat Supply
Lushun Economic Development Zone boasts one centralized heat supply center of 100-ton level, with a heating area of one million m2. Network Communication.

Network communication
In Lushun Economic Development Zone, the volume of program-controlled switchboard is 10 thousand; postal services China and over 190 countries and regions in the world; and the mobile communication, ADSL and the cable ITV system have covered the whole region

Highway
Lushun Economic Development Zone is joined with the Northeast hinterland via 201 and 202 National Highways. The "Tuyang Expressway" in upcoming completion will join Lushun Economic Development Zone with "Shenda Expressway" and China expressway network together, which will facilitates external access much more.

Airport
Lushun Economic Development Zone is 49km far from Dalian International Airport, which has currently opened 95 flight courses, 15 international and regional ones, and is the largest airfreight base in Northeast China.

Urban Highway
Lushun Economic Development Zone boasts 21 arterial and secondary main roads with a total length of 30km. The road net framework has completely come into being.
